Chronic Illness & Pain Counseling in Georgia

Living with a chronic illness is more than just managing physical symptoms—it impacts every aspect of life, from your mental health and relationships to your sense of identity. It can be frustrating, isolating, and exhausting to navigate a world that often doesn’t understand the daily struggles of chronic illness. If you feel overwhelmed, unheard, or uncertain about the future, you are not alone.

As someone who has personally experienced chronic illness, including Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome  (POTS) and chronic pain, I understand the emotional and physical toll it takes. I know what it’s like to face medical uncertainty, grieve the loss of abilities, and adjust to a "new normal." My lived experience, combined with my professional training, allows me to offer both empathy and practical support in a way that truly acknowledges the complexities of chronic illness.

Our work together may include:

  • Coping with the emotional impact of chronic illness

  • Navigating medical trauma and healthcare challenges

  • Managing anxiety, depression, and feelings of isolation

  • Adjusting to life changes and redefining self-identity

  • Developing self-compassion and setting realistic expectations

  • Strengthening boundaries and advocating for your needs

  • Processing grief related to health limitations

  • Finding ways to live a fulfilling life, even with illness

You deserve support from someone who truly understands the complexities of chronic illness. Whether you're newly diagnosed or have been managing your condition for years, therapy can help you build resilience, reconnect with your values, and create a life that feels meaningful—on your terms.
